Asto CT’s Equina imaging device—
The Madison, WI-based startup is developing a computed tomography scanner with tracks along the insides of two columns designed to guide the vertical movement of a donut-shaped part that’s initially positioned parallel to, and flush with, the ground. The part can also rotate 90 degrees so that it’s perpendicular to the ground, making it possible for the machine to image animals’ heads and necks. Image courtesy of Asto CT.
