BuddyTV, Flixster Join Forces

Seattle-based BuddyTV and San Francisco-based Flixster announced today they have formed a long-term partnership to create what they call “the ultimate social network for entertainment fans.” BuddyTV.com is the biggest independent online TV community, while Flixster is the biggest online movie community (comprising Flixster.com and RottenTomatoes.com). Financial terms of the partnership weren’t disclosed, but it could be a big deal in terms of advertising revenues. The companies say their combined websites will reach 20 million people a month in the U.S., plus 7 million more who use Flixster’s applications on mobile devices.
