VigLink Raises $5.4 Million

VigLink, a San Francisco startup that helps website owners track outgoing traffic—that is, “outclicks” that can drive affiliate commissions—announced yesterday that it has collected $5.4 million in a Series B financing round led by Emergence Capital. Existing backers Google Ventures and First Round Capital also participated. Emergence Capital partner Kevin Spain has joined VigLink’s board. “Outbound traffic is rarely monetized effectively by publishers,” Spain said in a statement. “VigLink broke new ground by automating affiliate marketing and delivering meaningful incremental revenue. This round of funding cements their position as market leaders and will accelerate the pace of the company’s already impressive growth.”
