Idle Games Wins $4.1M

Idle Games, a San Francisco-based startup building a massively multiplayer social game for Facebook called Idle Worship, has raised $4.1 million in new equity-based financing, according to a regulatory filing. The company was co-founded by Rick Thomspon, founding CEO of Playdom, and Jeffrey Hyman, founder of interactive advertising agency COG1. Coincidentally, Idle Games chief architect Timothy McClarren is mentioned in an Xconomy profile today of Astia, an accelerator for women-led startups led by McClarren’s wife Sharon Vosmek.
