QuantaLife Closes $17M Round

Pleasanton, CA-based QuantaLife, which has developed a “digital PCR” method to quantify small amounts of DNA for gene expression analysis and other applications, said that it has collected $17.2 million in Series B financing. The round was led by Series A investor Paladin Capital Group and was joined by new investors Merieux Developpement and Vital Financial. The startup said it would use the funds to “accelerate application development” and bring its technology to market in 2011.
