4Home Destined 4 Motorola

Sunnyvale, CA-based 4Home, a maker of “connected home” software for security, health, energy, and media management, has been acquired by Motorola Mobility, a Libertyville, IL-based subsidiary of Motorola, the companies announced yesterday. “The addition of the 4Home portfolio helps expand our vision of converged experiences in the home and beyond,” Motorola Mobility president Dan Moloney said in a statement. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. 4Home had raised $14 million in venture funding, according to VentureWire, including a $6.8 million round obtained from undisclosed backers in April 2010.
