Meebo Mops Up $25M More

Mountain View, CA-based Meebo has raised $25 million in a Series D venture round first revealed this week in a report from AllThingsD. The company makes instant messaging and content-sharing tools for the desktop and mobile Web, including a new browser extension called the Meebo MiniBar that lets users check in and chat directly from the websites they visit. Khosla Ventures led the new funding round, which was joined by existing investors Sequoia Capital and Draper Fisher Jurvetson. Meebo’s previous funding round in 2008 also amounted to $25 million; the company has now raised at least $62 million all told.
