$3.2M Falls on RealGravity

RealGravity, a San Francisc0- and Los Angeles-based startup that helps video producers distribute their content to a network of Web publishers, came out of stealth mode today and announced that it has collected $3.2 million in venture funding. The Series A round was led by Kohlberg Ventures, and was joined by Transmedia Capital, individual investor Peter Boboff, and RealGravity’s founders, Luke McDonough and Sid Conklin. Already in use by Vibe Media, NBC Universal, and other publishers, RealGravity’s free marketplace lets content owners publish their videos across the Web under an ad-supported model, with RealGravity collecting a flat transaction fee for each ad transaction.
