$15M for Redwood Systems

Fremont, CA-based Redwood Systems, which makes networks for powering and controlling LED lighting systems in large buildings, said yesterday that it has closed a $15 million Series B financing round. Index Ventures led the round, which was joined by existing backers Battery Ventures and U.S. Venture Partners. Index Venture co-founder and partner Neil Rimer has joined Redwood’s board. The company says it will use the funds to improve its technology and expand in key markets, including internationally.
