Zynga Sells $6.3M in Stock

A regulatory filing published yesterday shows that San Francisco based social game giant Zynga sold $6.34 million in equity on September 29. The names of the buyers of the stock were not disclosed. It’s unclear whether the sale is related to general fundraising (unlikely, given the much larger amounts the company has raised from investors recently) or whether, as TechCrunch suggests, it’s related to last week’s purchase of Bonfire Studios, a Dallas, TX-based game development startup.
