Zimride Gases Up with $1.2M

San Francisco-based Zimride, a three-year-old social ride sharing startup that participated in Facebook’s fbFund incubator program, said this week that it has raised $1.2 million in seed funding from Floodgate Fund, K9 Ventures, and a group of angel investors, including Keith Rabois and Teddy Downey. Zimride serves specific corporate and university campuses such as CIGNA, Cornell, Harvard, Stanford, and the University of Michigan, allowing users to coordinate carpooling over Facebook.
