Pancetera Gets $5M, New CEO

Pancetera, a Santa Clara, CA-based maker of software for managing backup and storage across virtualized environments, announced today that it has collected $5 million in Series A funding from Hummer Winblad Venture Partners and Onset Ventures. Henrik Rosendahl, the former head of Thinstall (acquired by VMware), has been named as the new CEO of Pancetera, which also introduced its main product, Pancetera United. The virtual appliance presents all of the virtual machines running on an enterprise’s data infrastructure as a single, unified file system.
