$975K Boost for LearnBoost

San Francisco-based LearnBoost, which makes gradebook and lesson-plan software for teachers, said today on its blog that it has raised $975,000 in financing from Bessemer Venture Partners, Charles River Ventures, RRE Ventures, and Atlas Venture. The startup says it aims to take business away from established teacher software providers like Blackboard and Pearson with a free Web-based gradebook application and visual lesson plan editor, due out in early August.
