Castlight Collects $60M

Castlight Health, a stealth-mode San Francisco startup building software that lets its customers’ employees compare the costs of medical treatments and procedures, has raised $60 million in Series C venture funding, according to a report in Venture Wire. Existing investor Maverick Capital organized the round, which was joined by previous investors Venrock and Oak Investment partners and new investors Morgan Stanley Investment Management, U.S. Venture Partners, and Wellcome Trust. Co-founded in 2007 by former RelayHealth CEO Giovanni Collela and Todd Park, currently CTO of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Castlight has now raised some $81 million.
