California Life Sciences Association Taps Mike Guerra as New CEO

California Life Sciences Association, the San Diego-based trade association, on Tuesday announced that Mike Guerra will succeed its founding leader Sara Radcliffe as president and CEO effective Jan. 7. Radcliffe is leaving to pursue new opportunities, the association said. Guerra was most recently vice president of the Americas at Avidity Science, which makes water purification systems and lab equipment. Previously, he held senior leadership positions with VWR International, which distributes lab products. The association, which in addition to its San Diego headquarters has offices in in Washington D.C. and in the California cities of Sacramento, South San Francisco, and Los Angeles, was formed four years ago with the merger of the Bay Area Bioscience Association and the California Healthcare Institute.
