Human Longevity Names Mark Winham as COO

Human Longevity, the San Diego-based genomics company founded by J. Craig Venter, has named Mark Winham as Chief Operating Officer. Winham, who was previously the COO of Millennium Health and spent 10 years at Life Technologies (now part of Thermo Fisher Scientific), will report directly to Venter, who remains CEO.  According to a statement from the company, Winham will be responsible for managing all HLI sequencing, laboratory, and product pipeline operations, as well as all facility operations. HLI currently has three locations in San Diego and Mountain View, CA, and Singapore.
