Alzheimer Researcher Paul Aisen’s Jump to USC Sparks Legal Fight

Paul Aisen recently moved from UC San Diego to head up the University of Southern California’s new Alzheimer’s institute, leaving his former employers in a litigious state of mind. UCSD is suing USC and Aisen, alleging they conspired to hijack the Alzheimer’s Disease Cooperative Study (ADCS) while it was recruiting Aisen to lead its new Alzheimer’s institute. Aisen had been overseeing the study for UCSD since 2007.
