Verimatrix Raises $7.5M

San Diego’s Verimatrix has raised $7.5 million of a planned $7.6 million from investors, according to a regulatory filing earlier this week. Verimatrix spokeswoman Kelly Foster, who is in Las Vegas, NV, with the company at NAB 2011 (the National Association of Broadcasters’ annual convention) says the funding is related to the company’s recent acquisition of Munich, Germany-based Comvenient. Verimatrix provides software-based content security technologies in pay-TV networks for telecommunication providers.
