Nirvanix Raises $10M, Names New CEO

San Diego-based Nirvanix today named former QLogic executive Scott Genereux as CEO, and said it has raised an additional $10 million in venture capital from Intel Capital, Mission Ventures, Valhalla Partners, and Windward Ventures. As we reported last year, Nirvanix provides a fully-managed, secure cloud-based data storage network. With the additional capital, Nirvanix has raised at least $27 million since it was founded as Streamload in 1998.
