Voxel Nabs $5.5 Million for Cloud Hosting Services

Voxel dot Net, a New York-based provider of hybrid cloud hosting and managed services, announced that it has completed a Series A venture capital round, led by private equity firm Seaport Capital. The company intends to use the $5.5 million raised to deploy virtual servers, private cloud solutions, and other infrastructure services to customers in North America, Europe, and Asia. Voxel has been providing Internet infrastructure products since 1999, and expanded into cloud computing in March 2009.
