TrapIt I include this slick news-aggregator app in my list of back-to-school apps because it’s extremely useful for anyone who’s trying to track the news in specific categories—say, political science students following this fall’s elections in the United States. Rooted in the same AI technology behind Siri, the TrapIt app lets you set up custom “traps” around any topic you want (e.g., climate change). The app scours the Web for articles generally related to your topics, and can be trained over time to retrieve content that’s more specific to your needs (you might only be interested in articles about the policy aspects of climate change policy, for example, and not the science).
