NitroSecurity Nets $6M, Buys LogMatrix Business
Portsmouth, NH-based NitroSecurity said today it has closed $6 million in Series B financing led by existing investors Brookline Venture Partners, First Analysis, and NewSpring Ventures. The cybersecurity and event management software company also said it has acquired the security business of LogMatrix, a Marlborough, MA-based company focused on IT and network management. Financial terms of the acquisition weren’t given. (LogMatrix customers include AT&T and the City of Seattle, the latter in partnership with the University of Washington and University of Michigan.) NitroSecurity was founded in 1999 and is led by CEO Ken Levine.
