Excel, Angels Put $2.3M into Snaptic

Boston-based healthcare investor Excel Venture Management and angel investors have provided $2.3 million in seed funding for San Francisco-based Snaptic, maker of the 3Banana note-taking app for Android and iPhone smartphones, according to a June 1 report in Venture Wire. Excel was attracted to Snaptic because its free apps can be used to help people track fitness, diet, and health information, CEO Steve Brown told Venture Wire. Excel’s Juan Enriquez has joined the board of the two-year-old startup, Brown said.
