Jaan Tallinn
Jaan Tallinn is the chairman of the board of New York-based MetaMed. Tallinn is one of the programmers behind the Kazaa file sharing platform, and a founding engineer of Skype. He is also a partner in the seed-stage venture firm Ambient Sound Investments, a co-founder of the Cambridge Centre for the Study of Existential Risk, and a former member of the Estonian President’s Academic Advisory Board. He describes himself as a futurist, hacker, investor and physicist, in that order. He holds a degree in physics from the University of Tartu.
